How it works
- 1
Set up the ladder
Choose win/loss/draw scoring and a point system. Decide how long a season runs, for example a school term.
- 2
Register games
After a game either player enters the result. Over-the-board or online, it is one tap.
- 3
Run a club championship
Attach a knockout tournament to the ladder at the end of the season and crown the club champion.
Why Stegen
ELO from 1000
Everyone starts at 1000 and the rating spans all seasons, so long-term strength and this season's form are tracked separately.
Draws handled properly
A draw is a real result with its own points and rating effect, not an afterthought.
Good for school clubs
Badges and streaks motivate juniors, and a season per term keeps the standings relevant.
